Uganda
In Uganda, our eight underground operations are located within the world-renowned Busia Basin – one in the East Africa's goldfield, two in the Mubende district and four in the Karamoja, in the northern portion of Uganda's Gold basin.

D.R.C
Hidden Valley, our sole operation in the DRC, is located in one of the world’s most prospective yet under-explored terrains for copper-gold porphyry and epithermal gold mineralisation. Our cobalt-gold portfolio in this region includes a 50% stake in the Ubuntu EAGold-Viso project in Namoya Province. 


South Sudan

In April 2021, EAFields Group | Ubuntu Fields East Africa Ltd acquired 100% of the Gold Silver Mine Project and 1 100km² of regional exploration tenements in the world-class North East Minerals Province in Kapowetta, South Sudan. This acquisition opens a new copper-gold frontier for EAFields Group | Ubuntu Fields East Africa Ltd , lowering our risk profile and providing additional scale.

OUR PEOPLE

The success of Ubuntu Fields as a safe, low grade, bulk mechanised and profitable gold mine is centred on our people, who are at the heart of everything we do. Currently, we employ 1,110 people directly and 1,124 contractors. Contractors are typically engaged in activities that require specialist expertise, and for projects with limited timeframes.

OUR COMMUNITIES

Mine community development is the collective term for the projects, initiatives and strategies that are designed to meaningfully contribute towards the social and infrastructural development and economic upliftment of all communities impacted by our mining operations in East Africa.

OUR ENVIRONMENT

Ubuntu Fields is committed to the continual improvement of our environmental performance and ensuring that our impact on the environment is minimised. The key areas of focus include water stewardship, the reduction of our carbon emissions and energy usage, and the minimisation of dust levels in our smooth operation..
